This collaboration brought together two accomplished Namibian theatre and community focused artists with H2M’s Geo Alva and Sarah Fanchon Cohen, combining decades of theatre, filmmaking and Cultural Inclusion expertise. Together, they co-led two workshops, both culminating in public performances crafted and performed by the young participants. The first was in Windhoek, with Conservatory performing arts students, and was attended by family, friends, faculty and Embassy Staff.

The artistic team then traveled to Elzaan’s hometown of Rehoboth, to work with high school students and craft a performance for the entire community. After the workshops were complete, the team traveled to the coastal city of Swakopmund for a postmortem, and planning retreat for future collaborations.
