“My time in Portland with the H2M Theatre was an unforgettable and transformative experience. Going in, I was excited but also unsure of how my work as a storyteller and podcaster would translate into the world of theatre. From the moment I arrived, the H2M team welcomed me with open arms, making me feel at home and supported in every step of my creative journey.
Thanks to their incredible mentorship and guidance, I discovered a new creative side of myself. One of the most significant moments during my fellowship was transforming an episode of my podcast into a play. The H2M team helped me develop the script, and I had the incredible opportunity to have my first script reading in Portland. Their feedback, encouragement, and collaboration were invaluable, and it was a truly eye-opening experience.
Watching the H2M team perform their hit play Home/Land was another highlight. It gave me a fresh perspective on storytelling and how theatre can powerfully address social and personal issues. My time in Portland wasn’t just about learning—it was about experimenting, growing, and building meaningful connections. This life-changing experience has deeply inspired me to continue using theatre to tell impactful stories.”
